THE SAUCE
Reading: White Cat, Black Dog: Stories by Kelly Link, only two stories in and WOW. Hot Dog by Doug Salati, adorable and not just for children. My 5yo and I finished Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and we're moving straight onto the sequel, which I haven't read before, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator.
Writing: I started what was supposed to be a quick update on the research I've been doing on Arizona's sustainable farming and indigenous crops and it got out of hand. Surprise! It's actually an essay. So you'll get to read that at a later date. If you know of a publication that would love to publish an essay on sustainable farming, ethics, and reparations, I'd love to hear from you.
Cooking: Cottage cheese and jam on toast. Fried rice and soup to clear out the fridge. Annnnd THE SAUCE that is the living, beating heart of Small Fires by Rebecca May Johnson. It was fresh and delicious, everyone in my household enjoyed it. Multiple versions of the recipe are in Rebecca's book, which you can still preorder :)
